15 minutes of fame-Why would you be famous?

Come to think of it, we live once and that’s all. We know this because those gone before us, have never come back to testify how it is in the afterlife. Amazingly so, we take this life for granted, rather we take our selves for granted. When I think of being famous for 15 minutes, I think of something good that I could do to improve someone’s life.

Yes my 15 minutes of fame, would be me winning millions of Rands and giving them away to charities of my choice. The smile on the people receiving the money from me would be worth my 15minitues of fame. If I could get those few minutes to change someone’s misery into a smile and turn someone’s tears into a smile. Nothing would make me happier than hearing my name being mentioned for doing such great work.

I believe we all need to give to those who are less fortunate than ourselves. The fact that we have people of different classes was done on purpose. I think the creator wanted to remind us at all times to care. I can’t imagine a world where we all had the same, then it would be pretty boring; no one would care for the next. And so we were given this opportunity to love each other and have compassion for our fellow human beings. 15 minutes would be enough to spread a smile across different people with different challenges in my country. That moment would be used to make my heart felt speech, and what giving can do to each and every one of us.
